I. Experiment Title:
LongServing Laboratory-grown Jadeite Structural Analysis
II. Experiment Objective:
To observe the appearance of LongServing Laboratory jadeite.
To examine the internal structure of LongServing Laboratory jadeite.
To compare its structure with that of natural jadeite.
3. Experimental Instruments::
Color comparison chart
Polarizing filter
10x magnifying glass
IV. Experimental Results:
The appearance of the LongServing Laboratory jadeite, as determined using a color comparison chart, is pure green (Figure 1). The sample is a 0.45g cabochon ring. Under magnification, jadeite texture and orange-peel surface texture are observed (Figure 2). Under a polarizing filter, the sample appears fully bright (Figure 3), indicating it is a polycrystalline aggregate. When compared with natural jadeite (Figure 4), both samples exhibit jadeite texture and orange-peel surface texture, both appear fully bright under a polarizing filter, and both have an interwoven fibrous internal structure (Figure 5). Therefore, the internal structure of LongServing Laboratory jadeite is similar to that of natural jadeite.
